Three days in Koh Chang

May 8-10, 2009 :: Three days in Koh Chang

Because it was long weekend, my office colleague planned to Koh Chang, Trat province together.

On the first day, we rented a van from
http://www.oatransport.co.th inc. driver. We began at Ministry of Health. P’Nok R., P’Noon, P’Gorn, and I started from there. We went to take P’Nok C., P’Aod, and P’Tarn at King Kaew. Our light breakfast was sausage buns. Then, we stopped to have breakfast at PTT Gas station. At 11.30, we reached at Ferry Koh Chang port. It took 30 min for each round. Since it was too long to wait, we chose to walk around the port. I bought a coconut shake at Bon Café. We also bought langsats and rambutants. We arrived Dewa Koh Chang, http://www.thedewa-kohchang.com About 2 p.m., we already reserved three rooms for 2 nights via the internet. The hotel officer gave us festoon and pandanus juice as welcome drink. It’s very beautiful hotel. There was a swimming pool in the center of the hotels. Inside the room, it’s a traditional-modern Thai style. After that, we went to Bang Bao. We had lunch there. Our lunch were garlic fried shrimps, shrimps in fish sauce, Poh Tak, spicy fried shells, and more. We walked through a market near the restaurant and took a photo at a lighthouse. Then, we moved to feather a canoe. I canoed with P’Nok, while P’Aod canoed with P’Tarn and after that with P’Gorn. We came back to the hotel. After taking a shower we went to Wat Klong Prao. It was World Visakhabucha day. We prayed and walked with lighted candles clockwise around a temple. Then, we went to Nong Bua restaurant. I had shrimp fried rice with fried egg. We stopped at 7-11, Chang buri branch before backing to the hotel. P’Noon went to sleep first. I went the second while the others still sang a song and played guitar near a swimming pool.

On the second day, we had breakfast at the hotel. P’Gorn teached me about the cheese. The yellow one was cheddar cheese. The orange one was American cheese. The light yellow with blue color was Blue cheese, and the white-yellow one was Swiss cheese. The Song-taw car took us from the hotel to a port. We took a snorkeling trip of ThaiFun Day-Cruise. We saw many corals and fish there. We had onboard buffet lunch. However, I got seasick. In the evening, we had dinner at Jae Eiw restaurant. It’s a famous one. We had 2 kg of grilled shrimps, crabs, fish, and more. Because I was so tired, I decided to take a bath and go to bed before others.


On the third day, I had breakfast at hotel. P’Gorn, P’Noon, P’Tarn and I swam at the swimming pool. I watched TV for a while. Since it was heavy raining, we played a boardgame, teached by P’Gorn, called Backgammon. It’s a long traffic jam so we stopped and had lunch at Buffalo Bill. My dish was Alice Angel Hair Spaghetti with Seafood. And we went back to Trad via Ferry. We stopped at PTT gas station to have dinner. I had noodle with wonton. Finally, we went back to Bangkok. I reached my home at 1.45 a.m. ZZZzzzzzzz….
